Hello 2016, farewell 2015!

How is January almost over already?!? It seems like yesterday we were greeting 2015 and gearing up for all of our amazing weddings events and now we are preparing for 2016, our busiest year yet!

From weddings to bridal showers, we connected with so many amazing couples and families last year. When Vow & Knot Events was founded, our main focus was to create events for our clients that are personalized and filled with things they love. This past year our hearts have been so full doing exactly this!

To top it all off our Lead Coordinator Kristen ended 2015 becoming engaged to her longtime love, and our favorite assistant coordinator Kevin! We cannot wait to plan this wedding (no seriously SO excited)!!!

From working with new vendors in new venues, to being recognized by The Knot for Best of Weddings 2015 was every bit the wonderful year we'd hoped for. So much of that is in part to our wonderful clients with whom we are so blessed to have worked with.

2016 is already shaping up to be our busiest and best year ever, and we look forward to what challenges and adventures the coming months will bring, lets do this!

Adam & Erin

Wedding season is here! We kicked off 2015 with Adam and Erin at the Bridgeport Art Center in Chicago and their big day was just that... BIG! With a bridal party composed of 24 of their closest friends and family members Adam and Erin had one overall theme... The more the merrier!

This amazing couple had decided from the beginning they wanted two things, a stress free wedding and a huge party! We were happy to oblige and our happy couple danced the night away under the glowing lights with their loved ones. From the tree lined aisle to the custom gift bags enjoyed by guests at the end of the night our team was honored to help this duo celebrate their amazing love.

Congratulations Adam & Erin, we can't wait to see what the future brings you!

A Weekend with WeddingWire

I am back! I have been a busy planner these past few months and the blog has been lacking, but I promise new features, DIY projects,  and some awesome guest writers are coming soon!

I just got back from a whirlwind weekend in Washington D.C. With the amazing WeddingWire team! Two days of listening and learning from amazing speakers like Apprentice winner and motivational speaker Bill Rancic (he was amazing!), Monte Durham from Atlanta's Say Yes to the Dress, and Dana Hebert of The Next Great Baker to name a few were awesome.

I said goodbye to Chicago and spent three days in the amazing Gaylord National Convention Center. Over 1300 wedding professionals amassed for the even this year, and I was so glad to be one of them!

This was my first WeddingWire World conference and it was such a great experience! As a wedding planner it's easy to get inspired working with such wonderful clients, but sometimes you need a to refresher to make you take a second look at your business. I loved meeting other amazing wedding professionals like the fabulous Sarah Campbell of Intrigue Designs, and Ali Phillips of Engageing events by Ali.

I can't wait to bring back the knowledge and exciting new ideas that I gained to make our client's events even more amazing!
